Safe and Approved Products
Solution Cimex holds the permits required by the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques du Québec. We only use approved products, which are part of some of our treatment protocols that have proven their effectiveness in eradicating bed bugs.
Out of a constant concern for protecting your health, your property, and the environment, the pest control products are applied with care, rigour, and only where necessary.
Solution Cimex also favours all the tools at its disposal to reduce the use of these products. The application of steam, treatments using heat chambers, heat treatments, the freezing treatment, drying services, and the location of infestations using bed bug-detecting dogs allow us to significantly reduce the use of pesticides.
In addition, combining different types of treatments promotes higher overall effectiveness while reducing health risks for both young and old.
The application techniques and the choice of the products used vary according to the areas to be treated. The products can take different forms: aerosol containers, liquids, powders, etc. Which to use? That depends on the problem.

Do we need to leave during the bed bug treatment?
During the treatment, leave your home at the time of the treatment. In addition, allow at least six hours after the end of the treatment before re-entering the home. However, it’s recommended to wait at least eight hours following the end of the treatment for people with allergies or illnesses and young children. It’s also recommended to wait at least 24 hours for pregnant or nursing women. It’s recommended to wear closed-toed shoes after the application and not to walk barefoot for at least 48 hours.
Upon your return, air out each of the rooms affected by the treatment as much as possible.
Bed bug treatments and pets
All pets must remain outside the residence for a period of six hours following the end of the treatment. During the treatment, you may need to have some items used by your pets treated. You may also have to protect the environment from other animals. If you have pets, let us know before the treatment to find out the steps to follow according to your situation.
